Looks like it effects Pre-2011 Intel chips (C2D for example)
No word on vulnerabilities for AMD chips of the same age, though the person who found this is currently testing AMD CPU's for this vulnerability.
I'm having trouble getting the PDIF to load (I always seem to have issues with PDIF anyways) but I found PCWorld link.
