And not a single fuck was given.

From the sounds of it though, they're trying to pull the same shit TOR did, which is to lock features behind a pay-wall so that playing for free is a physical chore.

Yup. Feels like these games are trying to emulate the success of World of Warcraft with subscription fees, and outright failing.

I wonder when game companies will realise that if they deliver a quality product without trying to flip their users upside down to shake the change from their pockets they will make so mush more money, probably from sales alone.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

I might give it a try now, but it's kinda disappointing.

It doesn't actually drop the sub until March sadly. And you still have to buy the game itself.

And if you want, you can subscribe for a premium account that gives you extra credits for paid purchases, a monthly sum of gold, boosted experience, and some other stuff. Also 'free' DLC. So...

Predicted this a long time ago, the whole game wasn't that brilliant and appealing to a group of consumers large enough to actually make the money they'd need in order to stay "on the surface".

Might actually consider buying and giving this a try when the Steam sales strike and lower the prices again. I love Skyrim and Oblivion wasn't that bad, plus the lore is good, so why not. i'm supposed to study tho

It's a pitfall many MMOs are falling into

During development: "What WoW is doing seems pretty simple, lets do that"

Post release: "Holy crap how do MMOs work?"
