The Buster Sword is probably one of the most iconic, but what do you think was the best?

The Master Sword.  Obviously.

The Master Sword is still better.

The only weapon that ever stuck with me was Stormbringer from Morecock's Elric of Melnibone series. It's a driving force of the plot, and quite honestly, pretty fucking cool. Soul sucking, cutting through everything, making a sickly albino badass, demon-taken-sword-form monster. And that ending?

Thor's Hammer, Mjolnir.  Marvel's version, of course.  Gives him a distinctive edge against people who outpower him, like the Hulk.  Acts as a focus for his power over lightning, the weather, opening dimensional portals, etc.

Beta Ray Bill has proven to be the better fighter, so his hammer, Stormbreaker, is better.

Seriously, look up Beta Ray Bill.  He needs to be the next Thor, stat.

Magic, just magic.

In seriousness though, I loved Axel's chakrams from the Kingdom Hearts series. So much so I gave chakrams as a weapon to a well loved character I made in my teens.

I like swords.  And awesome karate moves.  They attain an elegance guns and magic and what-have-you seem to lack inherently.

This is true too. There's something about swords and karate that require more skill than guns or magic. Although depending on the magic system we're assuming, magic can be quite complicated and skillful as well.

Now mixing magic with swords or karate moves and BAM. Pure awesome.

What? Explain, because the story I'm writing for you in my head makes you look like a real weirdo. Like, Kingdom Hearts X MLP 18+ fan-fic weird.

Nonono it was a roleplay based in the Bleach universe, I gave my character a zanpaktou that turned into chakrams with the element of wind, I forget the mechanics of Bleach. No crazy stuff, not even explicit roleplay even though there was some romance

The chainsword from Warhammer / Dawn of War space marines can't be the best but it's pretty badass.

Not gonna lie if it's not the chainsword then it's gotta be the heavy bolter, just for the noise.

I used to have this game; http://en.wikipedia....h_in_the_System

You could use a badass rivet gun to kill people and it was awesome.

What about Frostmourne? Soul stealing magic frozen sword of evil.
