No, that's not actually a dirty metaphor.

This “Bio-bus” runs on biomethane gas, which is produced from the treatment of human sewage and food that is unsuitable for human consumption. It has a combustion engine that is similar to diesel engines in normal buses, but the gas is stored in dome-like tanks on the roof.

I mean, I know we use methane for a lot of stuff already, and you're actually not allowed to weld around sewers because of how flammable it is, so I know this has to work well. It just sounds weird.

To be honest a lot of busses that run of gas here in England (or at least in Herts and London), do smell faintly of farts.

In natural gas we add H2S so that you can smell a leak, and that's the chemical that makes farts smell like rotten eggs.

I think he's just implying that people who use buses shit on the back seats a lot.

That too, but the gas powered buses that run here...I don't know what type of gas they use. I just know that if you're stuck behind one you should close the air thingies.
