I went to a Black Keys show last night. It was pretty awesome.

So, has anyone been to any live music? What was it? How was it?

I've seen Ben Folds, Steve Martin with his banjo bluegrass band, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, and "Weird Al" Yankovic live (and some others I didn't enjoy.)

Those four were awesome.

NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very envious of you at the moment.

Back in 2011 I went to the Big Day Out, Black Keys we're supposed to play, but pulled out. I was soooooo gutted.

I've seen Tool, Deftones, Iggy Pop, M.I.A, Lupe Fiasco, Rammstein and a few others I didn't care for.

What surprises me is the atmosphere at these big events. everybody is in a good, party, happy vibe. No drama, no fights. :)

Yes, including the Black Keys, around 50-60 shows all up, too many artists to count.

Seen Slayer at 4 separate shows, received a black eye at one of them. Metallica a few times, Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Megadeth, BMTH more times than I want to mention, Suicide Silence with Mitch Lucker - RIP. ACDC, most of the mainstream metal and hardcore bands 2009 - 2014.

Pretty much just hit up every festival I could afford over a few years, plus the occasional headline.

But those days are over.

No drama, no fights

Yep, Soundwave, Big Day Out, No Sleep Til', even Future Music, that's true.

But then you go to Stereosonic.

I've been to a lot of live shows. I went to a lot of music festivals when I was younger.. now i don't feel like sleeping in a tent while it's pouring outside..

But I've seen Apocalyptica, Slayer, Rammstein, Eluveitie and many more.. (to be honest I don't remember most of the names >.>)

"Weird Al" Yankovic was the best live show I've ever been to.  There's no one who even gets close, although Ben Folds is, for purposes of categorization, number two on that list (but a heavily distant second.)

His Mandatory Fun tour starts this year, with the dates and locations to be announced very soon.  If he's coming anywhere close to you, you owe it to yourself to see him.

He's quite the costume-changin'-between-songs-every-song kind of entertainer.

I've been to quite a few concerts, probably more than I can remember. I've seen Motley Crue, Falling In Reverse, Pierce the Veil, Panic! at the Disco, Sleeping With Sirens, The Pretty Reckless and a heck of a lot more. My favorite show that I've probably ever been to though was Fall Out Boy during their 2013 comeback tour. They have been one of my favorite bands since I was 13. So glad I was able to cross that one off my bucket list.

Haha yeah, Soundwave is best.

I hit up Soundwave 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.

I don't live in a Soundwave city, but flew down to see it for cheap-ish plane tickets, plus I get hotel discounts through work. 2012 and 13 my partner at the time and I both went. Here'es a pic of us (that we got a random to take) in front of the 2013 Slayer set, with my clearly visible - busted up eye from earlier in the day. The lovely photo effects are thanks to my ex.

... and was still recovering from 2 nights of hard-ish drinking and sideshow.

I go to a few small festivals in the summer, no one really famous plays. I've seen Hozier, and he was pretty alright. I'm going to see Royal Blood in March and they are apparently very good live.
