A video has appeared online apparently showing North Korea’s state controlled media telling their football fans that the national team have reached the World Cup final in Brazil…

We’ve known for a long time now that supreme leader Kim Jong-un controls the flow of information to his people, with the television channels only reporting positive stuff about the country.

But in a report posted on YouTube, the media have been caught broadcasting that North Korea are on course to win the biggest prize in football, despite not actually qualifying for the World Cup.

Why, North Korea, why?

Also if they're going to try to trick everyone, at least make the scores believable.

Could you imagine being manipluated like that? Believing one thing to be true when it is nowhere near the real world truth.

You don't think that maybe the evil German superpower cheated to win?

They beat Germany 8-0 of course!

And then the team was all shot any way.

The North Korean one.

There was this thing about the NK team in either the 1966 or 2010 world cup where they got their arses handed to them something like 5-0 or 6-0, any way there was a 'joke' that the team was shot when it landed back in NK for such a poor performance. Everyone kind of guiltily admitted it wasn't off the cards though.

That's the one where china had to pay people to be NK fans, right?

As far as people are aware yeah.

Is it just me that has this terribly morbid curiosity about North Korea? I really want to go there on holiday and see for myself the most brutal regime in the world, it'd be great for my novel. :B

Can you even travel into North Korea? I know it is strongly advised not to go there. I wonder what kind of hoops you would have to jump through to get into the country.... and how hard it would be to get back out.

You can come but they watch you at all time, literally. You have a tour guide whenever you leave your government designated hotel.

Interesting. Not my dream destination but I think it would be quite the experience to say the least.
