This is the strangest combination of musical genres I have ever heard.

Just in case anyone wants to know before they click play, it is an amalgamation of metal and J-pop.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

The closest thing that I can even compare is maybe melt banana, and that's even a stretch.

I was listening to soft J-Pop on 8tracks while working, and when the playlist ended, 8tracks decided Babymetal was the best related playlist to start with next. It scared the shit out of me at first, but it's actually pretty good? It's weird, but good.

I forgot this existed until half my friends came to me last week asking if I had heard the genre. I still don't understand why there's music like this, it just sounds so weird.

As a metal fan I've been following them for a bit and I have to say it makes me happy to see people stepping out of the norm with metal and trying weird things, like when brian posehn made a comedy metal album.

I agree with you, I love when people take metal and add their own interesting twist to it. That way its not the same thing over and over again.

I love when people take any two styles of music and mash them together. Nine times out of ten it works perfectly.

Exactly, it's not even just metal but all types of music. I love hearing something a bit weird and off the beaten path.
