I'm curious to know the community's thoughts on having a nerd forum app for all Apple and android mobile devices. I personally feel it would be a great convenience to have accessibility to this forum while you're on the go. Whether it be responding to posts, starting a new post or suggestion, connecting with people or just staying on top of the latest news within the community. I know this is probably a long shotBut I feel something like this would go a long way in expanding the outreach of the community as well as strengthening our numbers. Any thoughts?

I personally think this is an awesome idea! But first we are going to need some programmers. I myself program but do not have the the available time to do so. Maybe look around on the forums for hackers and programmers and ask them?

You are making a broad assumption that any of us actually go outside for extended periods of time.

Actually, the theme works very well on mobile devices. It's also tapatalk enabled and IPB has a iOS app.

I haven't been able to find this forum on tapatalk and I will agree with you that this site works good on mobile but it could be a lot faster and more fluid.

Hell I haven't had a problem with browsing the forum on my mobile and my phone is a Nokia made in 2009. Can't really complain when a piece of ancient technology can load this site better than most other sites.

I think Spleen is the only who goes outside to do stuff.

Actually yeah. I had tapatalk for a while and even when searching "nerd" I couldn't locate nerd forum. It was strange. I know that when I visit through the browser on my phone it always tells me I can find it on tapatalk but I never can heh.

But yeah the mobile version of the site is fine.

I use the nerdforum on my mobile quite a lot (since I ride the train for 2hrs a day) and I think it's ok the way it is.. I just zoom in if I can't read something ^^

I had no idea that people couldn't find it on tapatalk. I'll try to figure out why.

This would be nice to have.  I can only access my Twitter account on my phone now (Twitter's terrible "send new password" service is completely broken for months now,) it would be nice to post via my phone.

This theme works *fine* but it doesn't work *great*.

It's better than that shitty mobile theme that we used to have. Completely unusable.

but, tapatalk works just fine.

Just installed tapatalk, found the forum and posted this. So yeah, an app would be a waste of time.

When I first tried to access this site on my phone in chrome it actually popped up with a notification saying that I could view it on tapatalk. I installed it, but for some reason it won't let me scroll past the first page of any threads?
