This show is totally all random and rambling.

Though, I can't stop watching. ._.

and it has its funny moments.

I've been watching all day.

The characters and the way the show looks is sooo cute.

I'm having a hard time deciding which one is my favorite!

I think i'm leaning more towards Konata though.

She appeals to me more as far as aesthetics go, as well as her personality.

Who's your favorite girl out of the main four and why?

I don't know the characters, I don't know the plot, but I do know that it has one hell of a catchy theme song. I've watched like, one episode.

That is true! I have not gotten tired of the opening theme yet. :)

Why? It's not ecchi or weird or anything. It's pretty damn normal, really.

Lucky Star is on my top 5 favorite animes of all time. She's basically the representatives of otakus in the entire series. I really love the concept of this anime in general. One can really identify with a lot of things that go on in it.

Enough to sell me on it. I keep hearing good things, so I'll check it out tonight.

And a great thing is that both the original Japanese dub and the English dub are equally as hilarious. One of the best Eng dubs I've ever heard.

Yes! I really love this series because it is relatable for the most part.

That's also true. Not every English dub in anime is good. But the English dubbing in this show suits the characters very nicely. :)

Considering I've really only seen 5 animes all the way through it wouldn't mean much to say it is in my top 5. But what I can say is that I did in fact enjoy the series.

Assuming they were real (or I was an anime character) I'd say that I'd probably be more likely to be friends with Konata. She is very open and care-free. Also since she likes games we would probably have plenty to associate over.

Now of we are talking about which one I would rather date. In that case the answer would be Miyuki. She is far more down to earth and while I like having friends who are a bit chaotic I'm not nearly as interested with living with one. I draw a lot of parallels with her and my actual girlfriend to be honest. They are both the kind of person who know all the answers on Jeopardy but couldn't bear the thought of actually being on stage like that. Both are adorably clumsy and generally adorable in daily life.

Also, I'm a huge fan of glasses.

I thought it was cute and quirky, I don't think it'd be in my top 5. Konata's pretty cute, but the show is more like K-ON, it's fun but once you get to the end you realize the story never really went anywhere. Story's big for me in anime so maybe that's why I'm not a huge fan.

There is a genre in anime called 'slice of life' which is usually just high school students living. Most of them have stories that don't actually lead anywhere since they are just about everyday life.

I forgot what my point was... care on!

I was about to argue "slice of life can have plot!" But then I went to the tvtropes page and saw it basically says it requires little to no plot, ha. I guess I just like slice of life mixed with something that gives it some sort of plot.

And now I'm on the slice of life tvtropes page.

Apparently games like Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, and The Sims count. I should have figured.

Minami-ke might be the most boring slice-of-life ever with little to no plot, but I'll be damned if I didn't watch four seasons and a handful of OVAs of the show. It's like the moe verson of the Canterbury Tales. (Lit. major high five!)

I never thought of Harvest Moon as a slice of life anime, but it makes perfect sense. Now if only I could make a harem ending... with catgirls...

God, my uncle watched that show when I was a kid and I was weirded out by it even back then.
