Still don't know what to think about this. It seems like it's based on a graphic novel. Anyone read it?

I've never heard of this.
It seems like it might be referencing the Large Hadron Collider, which bothers me a little bit. <__< Just because people assigned some really absurd superstition to that machine for a long time.

The time travel thing seems like it could be neat, but I could do without zombies, which seemed to be implied.

I don't think he needs to be immortal. I think all he needs to do is to write the right story. Because some stories do live forever.

The LHC was a legitimate worry for many people, and it wasn't entirely unjustified.

I am sure they had some idea what splitting an atom would do, but had no idea of exactly what, or the magnitude of the results.

Same goes for the LHC.

We had, and still have, no real idea what could potentially happen with the whole experiment.

Even practiced, tried and true science blows up a warehouse from time to time.

Also, the flouride in the drinking water one amuses me.

I read an article that some guy wrote explaining that the flouride boosted estrogen production in everyone's brain, thus making men more docile and easier to control.

Then it backfired and made the men more erratic and confrontational, and the women even more so.

I laughed, and laughed, and laughed and even slapped a knee or two.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.
