Howdy, nerds. I'd say I fit pretty snuggly into this category, so I decided to make an account and see what's going on with you guys. I've got tons of interests and since it's midnight, I don't actually feel like listing them all right now. I'll say I love to ride horses and snowmobile in this fine Canadian weather, and I've always planned on becoming a mechanic, and I'm well on my way. I'm also interested in carpentry, and right now I'm in catering. I'm a huge fan of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Legend of Zelda, Mortal Kombat, Metroid, Harvest Moon, Final Fantasy, reading, writing, drawing, and tons more. Ask away if you're curious. I'm not really into anime, though. Just Sailor Moon. I'm 17 and my birthday is on the 8th of May, coming right up.

I'm happy to be here, and if there's anything I should know (Rules, proper Nerd Forum etiquette) just give me a shout.

Don't cross the stream, feed Wolf after midnight, or eat the red M&Ms. That's about it. Welcome, Sandy.

Since you said you like Harvest Moon, I'll say it again and mean it this time. Welcome aboard, Sandy. You and I are farm friends now.

Right, I've got this.

Ah, I almost feared being stoned to death for mentioning it, it's not usually the most welcome in communities related to video games. But I'm glad I've made a farm friend and a good choice. I appreciate the warm welcome.

Yeah me too, been watching bits here and there, I find it ok.
But when I was a young teenager, I LOVED Sailor Moon.

Wha'gwarn. You won't get stoned to death here...unless you post pictures of yourself with a hairy chest and surrounded by cats...it's happened before.

Hi, welcome  :D

I just faintly remembered watching it as a baby, which made me want to look it up again a few years ago. Also, I love the romantic relationship between Uranus and Neptune.

Harvest Moon is probably my most-played non-MMO ever. >.>

I absolutely love it. My first was Another Wonderful Life. I recall getting to the very last chapter and accidentally saving over that game with a brand new file. It's one of those times where you just stare at the screen in disbelief for about 60 seconds, and then you quietly shut off the TV and go to bed. Or maybe that's just my personal coping method.

What is your favorite of the series?

Damn, that was my next move. Thanks for the heads up.

I hate overwriting save files. I always think it's gone wrong, so I try to back them up first >.> My first was the one on the Game Boy. Not all that great, but still fun. Plus you could choose whether you wanted to be male or female, which was removed for some time. My absolute favourite would be Back To Nature. The first time I played it, I managed to get the "true" ending, and it's just really fun to play. I've played every Harvest Moon game so far, except for A New Beginning because it isn't out here yet. So yeah, big fan. xD

Oh man, me too. I usually have two files that I save the same game to just in case something goes wrong with one. I remember saving the Harvest Goddess, finally marrying Eve, and making tons of dough in the winter mine in Magical Melody, and then having the game freeze completely the moment I stepped into the Harvest Spring. I had to restart. I never saved. I haven't played since.

Back to Nature is actually the only one I haven't played. I've seen some good reviews on it, though, so I might try and find it sometime. My favorite is definitely More friends of Mineral Town. That and Another Wonderful Life. :)

Sweet, even though I shoot moose, dislike the freezing cold, hate apologizing, hate Tim Hortons and can hardly tolerate Hockey.

Good to know, thanks.

If you ever see a moose with a proud looking man majestically riding it through the wilderness, don't shoot it, his name is Clarence and he is my steed.

I also do not watch hockey, Tim Horton's is tolerated because they have good chili, I hate apologizing when it isn't deserved or I do it out of reflex when someone get in MY way. I love the cold though, it flows through my veins and flourishes through my very being.

Despite our differences, I still like you.

If I ever see a moose with a proud looking man majestically riding it through the wilderness, I'm checking myself into a mental institution. So no worries.

I get Saturday off. I sit down to watch something on the only channel I have, and it's always the same. Hardcore music, people with painted faces and bellies, guys slamming each other into walls and punching each other in the face, and then occasionally you see a Hockey puck in the midst of it all. That's basically all it is. And then you have the really creepy announcers. "Mmm, yes he's hot today. How does it feel to be the hottest Hockey player of the year?"

I think I had some breakfast wrap thing from there once and I can't even tell you what was in it. They called it sausage. I'm actually a fan of the cold as well, but not indoors. My furnace is broken and it's always freezing in our place at night.

Only check yourself in to an institute of the moose is not named Clarence, because if it is than he is real and you are sane.

Tim Horton's breakfast anything is garbage.

I ate a breakfast sandwich only once and almost threw up from the aftermath.

Silly Americans bought the franchise a while back and since then everything has become gluttonous and terrible.

Barely even food really, just sugar and grease.

I basically drink the tea and eat the chili, other than that I may use their bathroom from time to time.

Alright, I'll be sure to ask him when the time comes.

It was brought to me by a friend, so I didn't have much of a choice even though the smell burned my throat. Way too much pepper on that.

Really? That's awful. I knew someone who worked there and they explained the cooking process to me. Doesn't sound too great.

Yeah, most fast food type places have reduced their "cooking" process to something more along the lines of an assembly line of drawer heated meat and shame.

Quite sad really, we used to have real food in our food.

I don't trust a fast food place to make my food anyway. That and I love to cook. Only problem is buying fresh ingredients is way too expensive at the moment.

I think it was around 60% of Americans that don't know how to cook, or even own appliances for cooking. People rely on what's instant and convenient. I wonder sometimes what I'm putting in my body when I can't even pronounce the majority of the ingredient list. That being said, I still buy cheap food because it's affordable. I cook when I can.
