I'm currently looking into a shift from linking newegg to linking amazon instead. They're generally the same prices, but through amazon links I can earn money for the site. I believe there's also a way to allow others to link from the same account, allowing for a shared nerd forum account where profits go to bettering the forums.

Does anyone have a problem or concern with this?

Anything that benefits the forum can't really be argued I don't think.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

I'm all for it, plus I kill two birds with one stone. Chatting with you lovely people and enjoying looking at things I don't need nor can I afford.

Mighty horse rocks, he rocks the fat ass.

I'm assuming that it'd work out where any purchases made from clicking through your ad would give you some cash. Just clicking alone wouldn't do anything. (I understand this from hearing both Adam Carolla's podcasts and The Film Vault podcast, and they both have this type of Amazon advertising.)

Pretty much. There's a tiny amount of CpC revenue, but not enough to mention.
