I've been reading A Blight of Mages by Karen Miller. When I first bought it, I thought it was a stand alone novel, but it turns out it's a prequel to a series of books. I feel slightly guilty reading it, I must be missing a lot of references towards characters that the author wrote in for people who have read the other books.
I'm really into it though. Every time I pick it up, I get sucked into it and the next thing I know it's two hours later. I'll definitely be buying the books that follow.

I just finished vol 7 of the translated Boku wa Tomodachi novels. The new season of the anime started Thursday so I decided to study up and downloaded em on my Nook.

Just because it’s a classic doesn’t mean you have to read it. That being said, just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t read it.I have this massive list of books, I've only recently gotten back into reading. >_< Started Great Expectations, trying to read some classics and catch up with the literate general population.. only a third of the way in, it's quite the challenging read, I keep having to stop and pick up a dictionary. Makes me feel bad about myself. Haha. I've developed a liking for Jeffrey Deaver too and I've only read two of his books.
If you’re reading for fun, skip the things you don’t like. The only reason I finished Atlas Shrugged was for class. I hated the characters, the story, the message, everything about that ‘classic.’ I guess if you’re just reading them to be able to say you have or just discuss them with others, then I can understand.

I've just started reading through the Discworld novels myself. I'm about halfway through The Colour of Magic. At the moment I'm chewing through the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett, and the Bakuman graphic novels by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata (the ones responsible for Death Note).

Yeah I finished TCoM a while ago, devoured The Hunger Games trilogy in a week, and now juggling The Light Fantastic and The Lord of The Rings for the 2nd time in my life (the new film got me back in the mood ). Pratchett's books are quirky and unique but I think they're a great read! I think it's his style of writing that hooked me hahaI've just started reading through the Discworld novels myself. So far, this time, I have read:
- Ender's Game
- Speaker for the Dead
- Xenocide
- Children of the Mind
- Ender's Shadow
- Shadow of the Hegemon
I'm currently reading Shadow of the Giant, after which I will read the newest two novels in the series, Ender in Exile and Shadows in Flight, in that order (I prefer to read them by order of publication, not chronologically).
Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.
