Also, I correctly predicted the Elder Scrolls MMOs, when, after playing skyrim I said to one of my friends
"They sure have gutted alot of what made Morrowind fun. Everything they're going for seems to be in such a straightforward balanced format. It feels like an MMO, without all the people."
he said "What are you talking about, the game is great?!"
I replied "I know it's great, I'm not contesting that. It's just a step in the other direction. Morrowind was such a madhouse, which fit the setting perfectly. Now everything is so binary. You farm herbs to farm potions, you farm mats to farm armor. You farm dragons for dragon souls/mats. NPCs give you quests with no substantial rewards. We got the dungeons that feel like copy/pasted corridors. Everything you do happens via central hubs. Think about it, the way they have it set up, there could just as easily be 500 adventurers doing this stuff."
IDK, maybe they're more similar that I can recognize, I havent played Morrowind in a long time. I just remember it being so insane, so unpredictable.
That being said, I've kept up with TES:Online, and it looks impressive. It's just not my type of game.

Morrowind was phenomenal. However Bethesda continues to impress me with each release. After dumping 100 hours into one of their games, i am quick to point out the flaws and the segments where they didnt take the time out to script something more elaborate. i loved skyrim's improvements over oblivion. (i liked the terrain in oblivion better, and red mountain is a landmark of morrowind). However, i also hated limited number of animation routines the NPCs had in skyrim. And lets face it, the lack of NPCs in the last two elderscroll's makes any reward feel pretty worthless. A town applaud consists of a beggar and merchants. I think assassins creed took an interesting approach with their NPC engine.
I have recently started getting into the PC mods and have found that i enjoy the games much more with select community mods. But yea... i love Bethesda & iD games

Looks like they are going to recreate a bunch of scenes from earlier games

Which is what would turn me off of an Elder Scrolls MMO, no personality and droning pointless quests.
I agree that they tried to round out the character format so that it doesn't matter what you do your character ends up basically the sme as every other character you could create.
It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

"once you hit level 50, thats when the game really opens up."
am I the only one who thought of a skyrim screenshot with
"This aint even my final form"
on it? xD
