Would an HD 6850 be bottlenecked by my Phenom X2 4200+?

Looking at new graphics cards and wondering what's the best I can get that wont be pointless with my older processor.

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

The card itself shouldn't be, but I think many games would be. Look into getting one of the little $60 dual core sandy bridge Pentiums, for gaming I think they're better than almost everything AMD has out right now.

I ended up actually buying a laptop cause it was on sale. It's got a Quad-core A6 APU with a dedicated 6580M on the side.

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

I don't know if it's supported. I'm still playing around with it.

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

It should be. I think the APU's will crossfire with an 6 series. Not positive though.
