Do any of you work out at all? If so, then how often? I need to start exercising soon, but I'm not sure if I want a gym membership or if I will setlle for a yoga class instead.

I've got some physical problems that have cropped up recently. For now all I'm doing is lifting small hand weights whilst watching TV.

I was..  but last year I broke 4 ribs, punctured and collapsed a lung.  I lift less, but still work out twice a week, just not nearly has hard as I did.

I don't think I would ever be able to work out again after breaking four ribs at the same time. How did that happen?

Tough man answer... I broke up a fight..  crashed a motorcycle..  um..  real answer, the ladder was not secure while I was cleaning out the gutters.  Fell a little over 12 feet on to said metal ladder.

I'm so glad you're alive and I remember this story now. Damn, yo, 12 feet is no joke!

That's still a manly answer. Cleaning the gutters is dirty work.

If you've never been to the ER with a foreign object in your rectum, you're doing all right.

I bike to work every day, I also have a small set of dumbels under my desk as well as a hand/grip trainer.

I was considering getting an under-desk peddler. Maybe I'll actually do it someday.

The new "rage" at work is the standing desk.  Look...  I work out of a truck.  when I come in to update my sheets, I like to sit down.  Not get looked at like some strange alien that didnt take my shoes off before I walked on the carpet.

I used to work out a fair bit and actually had some decent buffness going on, now my buffness is hidden by a nice layer of insulation.

I really need to get back in the habit of doing some sort of workout but I'm kind of lazy and have quite a lot of other life stuff going on that pretty much drains my energy down to nothing by the end of the day. It is what it is for now I guess.

As for gym membership over yoga class, you just have figure out what you want from your workout.

Muscle and endurance or flexibility, though you can always do both really.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

There are a lot of interstates and back roads with hills where I live. Biking sounds fun, but I live too far from anything to ride a bike anywhere.

I really only wanted something to get six-pack abs, but I don't want to hurt my back while doing it.

They do crunches and planks in yoga class, right? Sounds easy to do at home, but I can only do that for so long until I completely forget that I was supposed to do it. I think I'll just give yoga class a try.
