MINECRAFT JVM ARGUMENTS HELP?

i am having troubles with mine-craft at the moment i have good enough graphics to run in version 1.6.4 but when i go to launch it re-downloads the files and then its just says launching where the play button is any jvm arguments that would help or any ideas 

It is not normally necessary to use JVM arguments to make it playable, JVM arguments can be used(by folks that know what they are doing) to tweak the way the JVM runs the minecraft jar file for some specific end. 

I would try deleting and reinstalling minecraft, I would also try waiting to see if it does launch after a minute or two. Possibly watch the performance tab on the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and see if minecraft is pegging out your CPU or RAM. Might also kill other apps to free up said CPU and RAM.

Also might suggest seeking a site devoted to Minecraft if you intend to seek tech support before establishing yourself in a community, and also editing posts for clarity and information before posting. A single un-punctuated run-on paragraph is ill becoming and moreover hard to read.
