Hey everyone!

 

Just made an account to make new friends that are into the same stuff I am. I love video games, fantasy, comic books, and I want to learn more about cosplay.

 

I also watch a little bit of anime.

 

Right now I'm working on a fantasy novel - slowly but surely.

 

My other interests are fashion, alternative music, and I'm getting back into yoga after a long hiatus.

The novel - maybe novels, I have big ideas for the character.

The novel/series follows Genevieve, an elven blacksmith, who murders her mentally abusive and unfaithful girlfriend. She joins her older brother's political resistance group to avoid punishment for her crimes. She's socially awkward, insecure, and pushed into a political role she wasn't ready for, constantly haunted by visions of Calypso, her dead ex-lover.

The book will explore themes I don't think are very common in fantasy. Mental illness, infidelity, what it means to be a woman in a largely male dominated world, abusive relationships, PTSD, sibling rivalry, and coming to terms with an ever changing sexual orientation. I'll probably post some excerpts around the site for feedback.

I'm really excited, I'm not explaining it well but I think I'm on to something beautiful.

Sounds like it has the potential to be pretty awesome. 

That sounds like Tumblr's thesis, but I mean that in a good way.
