My phone, due to unforeseen events, took a spill last fall and retained a spiderweb crack in the corner of the glass.
It today spread towards the middle and I feel it is not long for this world now.

I have T-Mobile, but I'm totally up for swapping carriers if need be.
I prefer to have a small bill tho, and Verizon is the devil, so if I can avoid both, all the better.

I'm looking to get something new.

I've always had interest in google phones, but have yet to get one.
I like LG and Samsung, they're both made quite well.
I had an HTC years ago, I do not recall how it was.
I do not care for iPhones or window phones.

I use my phone mainly for texting/browsing reddit.
I do want and enjoy having a very nice camera on it.
I don't use it for music, but with planning on walking more, that will/can probably change.
I'd like large storage space and would very much like an expandable slot, preferably as big as can be.

Style doesn't really matter to me, tho I do not care to go back to flip phones, and I do not care for ostentatious colors.

That being said, any suggestions are appreciated.

Huawei Honor 5x I've had one for about two months now, great phone so far, can take 32gb and maybe 64gb microSD

Best part is it doesn't look, feel, or perform like the cheap chinese smartphone that it is. It's solid.

That is a pretty nice one, I just checked it out.
How much does it have on it as far as memory tho, because my 32gb is packed right now and I have 16gb internal as well.
I'm hoping to get more which is why my nuber one choice of new phone sat on the backburner for so long.

I really really dig the Nexus 5X, but without any extra storage slots it left me wanting.

However I just saw that there's a phone plan that google offers that's dirt cheap.
https://fi.google.com/about/plan/

Plus by joining the plan I'd knock the phone price down by $150.

Has anyone heard of this service and how it fairs?

I really only use my phone to communicate with my kids to and from school, past that I'm good.
Plus they don't charge you for data you don't use.

I got the Samsung A5 phone a few months ago (because I gave my other one to a taxi driver in Bangkok >.>)

It's a good phone I didn't have time to do too much research though since I was on withdrawal. But I'm actually quite happy with the choice I made.

I go through Verizon. After one year into my relationship I tossed my GF on there and we just stick with it because they have two stores in town.

I use the Motorola Droid Turbo. I've had it two years now I suppose? Right when we got 4G in our area. I purposely upgraded to Verizon Edge plan because of it, and they upgraded me 2 GB of data for free at no extra cost (I was only doing 4 at the time and the plan requires 6). I'm overdue for a renewal. I just have had no need for a new phone. This one has never given me troubles. I've had the same glass screen protector on it too. I love those. I got one little chip in the screen protector off to the edge but not in my way.

Plus, my phone is red/black dude. Way cool.

I don't know what the quality of the google service is, I use Wind up in Canada.

My Honor 5X has 16GB internal storage.

Do they come larger?
That's not enough for me.

How's the camera quality?

I don't know if they come with larger internal memory.

The camera is better than the camera in my Galaxy S3 was.

It was time for a new phone. I went in for a new 2-year on Friday. I decided after like 5 years of using Android smartphones that I was going to give iPhone a try. I got the 6 S, regular size 64 gb in metallic gray/black. I was tempted to get the Plus but at that point I might as well be carrying a tablet around. Camera is real nice.

I kept using all my data streaming Youtube playlists, Pandora, and iHeart Radio at work. So it was like, either upgrade 2 more gigs for X amount of money or subscribe to a music service for X amount money, where can I download the music and spare my data to do everything else. I heard about Apple Music and now I'm giving that a try. Downloaded a ton of albums already. Yeah, they don't have everything I want but pretty close to it. Good enough. Can use my iPod Touch again that has had the same music on it from my old computer, 4-5 years ago.

Apparently though, they are bringing Apple Music to Androids this fall.  ah well, trying something new.
