I'm a cabinetmaker from Montreal and started making these end-grain cutting boards themed for old school video games in my spare time.

They were a lot of fun to build, and I'm hoping to develop some more over the summer, but first unfortunately I have to do some shameless self promotion and sell enough to build the next ones. If you know anyone who might be interested please pass it along.
Here is the link to the Etsy Site with all the pieces currently available and here is one to a Facebook album with the options for future cutting board designs I'm looking at if you want to put your two cents in.
Also if you have any other ideas please feel free to make any suggestions.

Just sayin.
Also Montreal seems like it'd be a nice place to visit, how dya like it up there?
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Also, as the koala has said, it's spammy to advertise for your first post, so I've removed the links. Make a few more posts in the community and you're free to put them back.

I realize it is a little tacky to sell something in my first post, sorry for that. My aim at this point was to try to expose them to people who'd be likely to get as excited about them as I do. A friend suggested I try some nerd forums. This is the first forum I've ever posted in period, so I'm not really up on my etiquette.
@ koala: Ya Montreal is awesome! you get the extremes of pretty much all the seasons. If you were going to visit, though, I would definitely recommend summer. Pretty much June through September is one festival after another, so any time you feel like wandering downtown, there is usually something interesting going on.
@Zamboodu: I never played metroid, so I don't know what images are iconic from the original games. Could you recommend any.
I was thinking doing a Megaman one might be fun.

And no worries, I really have no problem at all with you advertising as long as you stick around to talk. Feel free to edit your post and put the links back in, or make another post with them.
