Hi! I can not stress these virtual novels enough. This company have made 2 of my favorite games. It is worth your time and money, but I am totally sure you can download all these games for free somewhere.

So what are Freebird games?

Kan Gao is the main man behind this company. There goal is "to create a game that takes the player through a story in the form of an immersive interactive show." This company was created 6 years ago by Gao and his idea was to turn his script he was working on into basically a story. "Today their projects cross a variety of genres. our focus is to create a familiar yet alternative take to the classical RPG experience; from our narrative-focused "Quintessence- The Blighted Venom" to the obsccure and interpretational "The Mirror Lied." Presentation, music, and atmosphere are what deliver."

Games/Projects by Freebird games

To The Moon

Spoiler

"To The Moon is an indie adventure RPG, about two doctors traversing through the memories of a dying man to fulfill his last wish"

It's for only windows, sadly, and is 4.5 hours 70 mb. It also has won 5 awards.

A Bird Story

Spoiler

"A Bird Story is an indie adventure short about a simple narrative taking place between a mix of a boy's memories, dream, and imagination."

It's 1 hour long, for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Other Projects that are either short or being worked on: "The Mirror Lied" "Quintessence of the Blighted Venom" and "Do You Remember My Lullaby?". They are also working on another game that follows the same format of To The Moon with the doctors and a persons dying wish.

I highly recommend these games both A bird story and To The Moon made me cry. If you have any recommendations for VNs please tell me!

I have to say, I kind of hate visual novels. That one monstergirl rpg one was pretty good, even without the monstergirl porn.

The only one I've ever loved is this: grisaia no kajitsu It ain't no one hour game and there's routes for all of the girls, and all of them are worth playing. It is so fucking funny, I swear. Oh, I should mention that it is porn. Cartoon porn pops up at some point, especially with super slut/best girl Amane.

Engrish lesson:

'You rike fish?'

Here's an imagur album that was posted on reddit a few weeks ago. It's a bunch of Makina's best lines. She has the mouth of a sailor. NSFW because of language.

"He totally saw your flappy-flaps!"

There's an anime adaptation airing right now, but it's not nearly as good as the vn. So much is cut out because of time. Still worth a watch if you don't have the time for the book and can remember what it's based on when things feel bogged down or rushed.

I guess VNs aren't for everyone. But I'll play the ones you have recommended!

I love playing this on my piano. :]

I've had To the Moon for ages now and I've played it a little, but I never completed it. I really should though.

It's totally worth the time, I mean 4 hours isn't to long and you don't need to play it all in one sitting like I did. The sound tracck buy Kan Gao is so good! I love how talented he is with his stories and music.
