I was disappoint when the 9th went, but quickly grew to prefer the 10th.

Now, I start season 5, the 11th Doctor's first season. Why does EVERYTHING feel different?

I get that Russel T. Davies is no longer writing, but whoever it said wrote this one has written episodes before. But somehow, everything just has this weird feel like they decided to subtly shift the tone of the show in a different direction.

...also this new guy seems kind of annoying.

I didn't realise it already started! Gonna be honest, since this new fella (the name of who I forget) took over the writing, Doctor Who has gone from pseudo-science to fairy tales. If this one doesn't grip me within the first two or three ep's, I don't intend to watch it...that being said, maybe i'm just growing out of it? That sucks.

Also, time to re-design the fucking cybermen. They've never looked the same for such a long time before and it's boooooring!

E: STEVE FUCKING MOFFAT, STOP RUINING MY SHOW.

I've never seen Doctor Who, but why are there 11 doctors in 5 seasons? I thought it was longer than that.

No no, there have been 11 doctors, the series began with the first doctor in 1963 and has gone through 26 seasons. Every few years the Doc regenerates into a new one.

No, I mean, he said the eleventh doctor is in the 5th season, it's been 50 years. Was it a typo an there are 50 seasons?

let me help explain this a little further. the 5 seasons he is reffering to are the new seasons they came out somwhere around 2005/2007 to present. these seasons which there is more than 5 now there is 6 or 7 have had 3 of 11 doctors. nineth tenth and eleventh the one he is refering to is matt smith known mostly for his bow tie. most doctors have something to remember them bye wether a jacket scarf or his bow tie. now before him we had ninth and tenth. nineth is personally my favourite he was a great person for the part then it became the tenth played by david tennant which was another amazind docter arguablly the best one so matt smith had to follow that up and seeming how he was following possibly the greatest docter it would be hard for him i dont think hes that bad and i have noticed the show changing but i dont mind. now before this was thirty years of tv shows and movies those have the other docers.

now lets get to the serious part come on they should have kept rose am i right or am i right.

also sorry for spelling errors.

I like that show

Oh no, don't tell me it gets worse. I only started watching the new Doctor Who not that long ago because I didn't think that it would be able to compare to the original. But to my surprise I actually really enjoyed season 1 & 2. I'm now up to the 3rd season & I'm not loving it nearly as much as the first two but it's still watchable. But I don't think I could bare it if it gets worse.

It gets worse...it's not pseudo-science any more, it's just fairy tales and magic bull shit.

Haha yeah I miss the ninth doctor and loved the tenth, the 11th however took me a while to come to like. The 11th doctor episodes are good but they do totally shift in tone from the previous doctor whos. The season of the 11th doctor is very dramatic and while he still tries to add that comical charm to his character it does not compare to the previous doctors.

I wonder how the season would have played out if they kept the previous writers. I know River came up in the tenth doctor's season so that was supposed to play through this season with the 11th doctor but it seems the 11th doctor has taken its own turn. Idk how they will play the future seasons when the 12th doctor comes along. They're making The Doctor basically settle down in the current season, he's not that same comical character who leaves you always guessing. He's become predictable in a way and with him basically settling down. What excitement does this leave for the audience who is use to the doctor coming and going and bringing someone new along for the ride.

The 10th doctor was my first one and as they always say you ALWAYS remember your first :P I like the new doctor i really do though he is just so spaztic you just want to go up to him and give him a big hug and go AWWWWW your so cute!! but yet when you piss him off you might as well just stay put because running isn't going to get you very far. I have already seen all of season 5 so i don't know if it is just showing later everywhere else since it season 5 started airing here April of last year but for those who are just now waiting it is a VERY good season.

I personally love Matt smith's version of the Doctor and I'm gonna be even more sacrilegious here and go as far as to say I love him more than Tennant. Don't get me wrong. I love Tennant but I thought he was way too emo for me. And I also think Rose was one of the most overrated companions ever. Kinda clingy! Amy is so much better. Feisty and compassionate at the same time. (And being drop dead gorgeous doesn't hurt either) Like I said I love the tenth but the eleventh is just bonkers and I love the Doctor when he's bonkers.

Knock Knock

Who's there?

I love Doctor

I love Doctor who?

Teehee.

--------------------

But for cereals, I love Doctor Who. I prefer Tennant to Smith. Smith has such a weird looking face it kind of makes me uncomfortable.

No matter who is playing the Doctor, I am always entertained.

I worked with a guy named Jacobi who I am convinced is Matt Smith's doppleganger.
Just throwing that out there.

People tend to love David Tennant because he is the guy who made The Doctor into the character that he is known for being after the reboot.
Chris Eccleson did a fine job portraying his version of The Doctor, but Tennent brought all that quirk and cheeky smugness to the character that people love.
Matt Smith isn't any worse or better than the other two, just different.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.
