Ok well I'm gonna start posting in here about once a week about our new campaign.

We have 4 players, plus a DM. We use a grid and pieces for more visual accountability.
The players are;
Half orc barbarian
Half elf rouge
Human cleric
Elf fighter-> swordmaster

Our DM is awesome and has crazy ideas, I'm super pumped! We play on Sundays, and possibly other days if everyone can swing it.

I'm excited to start. I will update on fights, story line, and personality of each character and how we mesh. I've played with all but one player, who is completely new to the game.

At our house haha. All face to face friends. I actually know a few D&D players. It's cool because I guess it's not popular, and we are lucky to have so many outlets.

For sure! I was interested in D&D in high school but we lived in a really rural area and no one would have been interested. Now that I've moved to the city, I can finally play.

It's so fun! I didn't really know about it until my fiance introduced me to it. I've played with 4 DMs in three groups.

Back story on the campaign before we start today. We've been summoned (no duh) we all get a letter bringing us to a mansion in stutopia. It's very heavily guarded (absolutely no way to escape we've tried). We were sent to an arena where we met our characters from the last campaign. It was crazy bahaha. We went to a tavern with them and we all but one (new comer refused) got drunk. That is where we left off.. we usually play around 7-7:30.. I will update tomorrow.

Ok!
So we started waking up groggy after our night of drinking, except for the half elf. We got our supplies that were already packed and left for each of us. The pack contained, 30 ft of rope, a small canteen of water, 30 days ration of food and 50 gold.
We were told to ride west for an hour as to not give away our direction. Then go south until we get to the dark brotherhoods camp ground. Once an hour passed we just happened to come across a path going south into a forest.

So while we were traveling this whole time we roll a percent dice for a chance encounters. We got one, it was a centaur. He was carrying large bow, and sword.

We stopped to talk to him, used diplomacy to sense him out. He's not bad, he noticed by my marked arm that I belonged to a fellowship of the rose (elf relics finding) he warned us of 9 orcs blocking our path a mile ahead. Theyre asking for toll to pass and they are armed.

Well the new guy thought it would be a good idea to send the half orc over to distract them as we try to sneak past. (Not a good idea). The cleric used sanctuary on the half orc to keep him untouchable (unless the orc attacks). So we sent the half orc, needless to say they were happy, very suspicious. I tried to move the group forward but the group today was difficult. So they pretty much wasted our opportunity to sneak past.

The orcs started charging the half orc and that's when we had to decide to fight. The rouge rolled to attack, fired and killed the orc in the back of the pack. Went unnoticed. Me (elf) and the cleric moved forward. Then the half orc started running towards their locked chest. They were still distracted. The rouge shot again, but this time missed and the orcs shifted their attention towards the direction of the hiding rouge. So with no other options I go out of hiding and roll to attack. My sword gets a size bonus, large being +4 damage. I kill the one I'm after, then again switching the attention to me and the rouge. The orc then pops his sanctuary and attacks an orc of his own. The cleric some how is able to fear one, leaving him pretty much not an issue for three rounds. The rouge shoots and hits but in the leg. I roll to attack missing :( the orc rolls chopping another. The orcs have hit to half orc and botch on me (because I'm slick haha). The rouge botched and hit the cleric and almost killed him. The cleric heals himself. I roll to attack hitting the one the rouge left hurt. The half orc kills another. The orcs miss on me and somehow on the half orc. We get the last killed and then search them for stuff.

We find 7 gold on each, and the rouge finds the key to the locked chest. He unlocks it, but like a noobie decides he's gonna check the horses before he opens it. I go up and open it, and have to roll a reflex save. I totally rock it, rolled a natural 20 plus my reflex save is 9. The chest blows up and I'm safe and jump out of the way. I find 75 gold, but everything else is destroyed.

The rouge comes back letting us know the horses are gone. The half orc and cleric stay back while the rouge and I go search and listen for the horses. It takes like 3 hours to get them and get back to our group. We decide it's late and we need find camp. We spot an area to set up and search the area. Safe. Setup and decide on watch rotation. While the rouge is on watch a weird guy shows up in our camp eating a chicken drum stick. He appears to be human, and is saying the forest is his and that we made a lot of noise today. The rouge is puzzled and explains that if this is his forest that he should be thankful, because we just killed 9 orc. The stranger says he knows, he's the one who sent the centaur. The rouge asks if it's ok if remain here for the night and travel through his land. The stranger has disappeared and the whole forest is completely dead quiet.
When his watch ends I'm next up and he tells me what he saw and what was said. The forest stays quiet all night. Everyone wakes up and we pack up. The forest only then starts to come alive again. We eat, pray, and feed the horses.

We continue our ride south with no chance encounters. We setup camp and the watch is arranged. The stranger returns during the rogues watch, this time eating corn. The rouge asks why he keeps coming to him, and the stranger just says it's his land. He disappears, and the forest is once again dead quiet. We all take our watches and wake in the morning, eat pray, and feed the horses.

That is were ended the game for the night.
Recap on how we work and interact together. I'm not fond of any of them. The cleric is a scardy cat, the half orc is dumb and the half elf is no where as awesome as me (character view point).

It was a lot of fun. I'm super excited for next sunday!!
