So, I heard about this a long time ago, and of course it gave me a huge but tentative nerdrection.
I'm always a little bit skeptical of MMO's. There's only one that I've really loved, and I've played a few.

But I also *love* the World of Darkness setting, and I'd be willing to give their MMO a fair shake and then some.

Anyway, on Penny Arcade they posted an article about it, and I figured I'd share. It's some of the first real information I've seen about it.

I'm actually really excited about the prospect of the inclusion of Permadeath.
I'm a little bit disappointed that they intend to use the old World of Darkness setting, because I was really a fan of nWoD, but I think I'm mostly alone in that.
And I'm crazy excited that they are going to (eventually) include Werewolves. Holy shit am I excited about that. WoD werewolves are my freaking favorite.

Thoughts?
I don't think he needs to be immortal. I think all he needs to do is to write the right story. Because some stories do live forever.

That sounds really fucking epic.

I also like the idea of player controlled cities. I'd love to see that in every MMO. >.>

Yeah, same!
It makes things so much more dynamic! Cities in other MMO's get really boring.

The whole interpersonal politics thing might actually make it really fun to be a vampire, too.

Mhmm, I agree.

It'd be very interesting to see cities taken by force and occupied as well.

That'd be amazing!

I think if you want to see that sort of thing, though, then you'll probably want to get into it pretty early.
I suspect that it'll be pretty much like real life, where it's really hard to unseat someone once they accumulate enough power.

Mhmm. If it's anything like what I think it will be though, I'll be getting into it as soon as it comes out.
