As generic as it is, I'd want to be a vampire.

I much prefer the night to day, many less stupid people (at least until the drunks come out).
I'd get to hunt down and seduce hot women, always a plus.
Get to be really fast and strong, so I can toss around douches like the collar poppers around here.
Could go back to wearing gothic clothing and if anyone complains about the lack of bright neon colors, I can eat them.
I'm already super pale and enjoy blood letting. >__>
If I want to spend forever with someone, I can.
If they get cheeky I can just roll them into the sun when they're sleeping.
I can have a dog that will live forever so I'll always have a best friend.
And I'm going to reiterate the seducing hot women thing.. cause hell yeah hot women.

I guess it depends on which version of those monsters we're talking about.

I mean, if you can be a werewolf who can basically control his changes, then there's really no downside to that.
And even if you only go out of control three days a month, that's not so bad. [inb4periodjokes]

So I guess I'd probably have to say werewolf. Especially if I can change at-will or can change at-will for most of the month. Because being a wolf would be amazing. I'd probably go live in the woods for long periods of time.
I don't think he needs to be immortal. I think all he needs to do is to write the right story. Because some stories do live forever.

Realistically, probably this guy: http://tctechcrunch2...alien.jpg?w=288

Also, I agree with Jazz, a werewolf that can control his changes would be pretty epic.

Or the invisible man, that would be pretty awesome too. >.>

Oooh, I didn't think about running as a wolf.
That would be pretty interesting.
I wonder how conscious you would be of your actions.

Yeah, I'd spend a bit of time away as well.

Invisible man is an option? =D
There's really not much of a downside to that one.

Well, I guess the government would come after you. <_< That'd be bad.

Right. Except if they had infrared.
And I'm sure there would be a hundred other ways they could track you. Like cellphone.

And unless your clothes became invisible too, you'd have to be naked to hide, so they could just make their rooms really cold. In fact, that'd help with the infrared thing.

...yeah, I'm gonna stick with my werewolf answer.

Well I mean, I'm just being logical. That's how *I* would hunt for an invisible guy.

...Actually I'd just smell his location. Because I'm a werewolf.
But still.

For me id prefer werewolf, but would settle for vampire if we are assuming werewolves have a limited mortality(they get old and die). If were playing on the idea that they live until they get killed then werewolf wins it everytime for me. Most important thing to me would be the lack of a lifespan with a set time to end.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Yeah I've seen where they age at a very slowed rate, but I've never seen the immortal aspect to them before.

yeah, i dont think i'v ever seen a film where they were ageless. many books go with the idea that they are ageless though. at any rate if not then vampire would win out i suppose. though all the restrictions of the vampire would bother me endlessly(literally hah)

lawl

I've seen in shows/movies where with the help of a witch, a vampire could use a piece of jewelry to negate the daytime catch on fire aspect.

Being a Lich seems like too much work. Having to tell people what to do all the time and whatnot.

...that said, if you need any werewolves in your monstrous army, then you know how to contact me. =P
