#61699 I meet interesting folks at work.

In all fairness it was a pretty loose reference. x: I watch Sunny and completely missed the reference.

This made me feel better, even if that wasn't it's intentions. I'm sick of the reference snobbery, it weighs me down.

Really. I get disgusted looks at school if I don't understand a reference from a TV show. I don't even watch TV.

Yeah, lots of people seem antsy around that sort of thing. You get all the dangers of a drug dealer with the shitty customer base of a retail worker.

Were there balloons around, or just out of no where?

Mostly what our resident koala said. (How is he our resident koala when we have aussies? That doesn't seem right.) My job is generally me waiting on someone to break something, and I'm always looking for things to pass the time. Yesterday though I was fixing my HTPC. Trying to at least. For some reason it won't turn on with anything plugged into a usb port. I got two other computers running and set them up folding in the server room.

Mhm, it has it's ups and downs, just like most things. Nope, no balloons.

That sounds pretty good, if you enjoy it of course. I don't know anything about the inner workings of a computer, and I'm okay with that. That is strange though.

Only from those that get the reference.

Ah, okay, that wouldn't be me.

Hello everyone I am just thread crashing. Don't mind me!

Here, while I'm here might as well post a selfy:

Spoiler

Whoo, that's some damn sexy face you've got there.

It's a cosmetics/everything else/pharmacy. None of these people buy prescriptions, those who do are always polite and respectful.

Lovely, I'm sure she gets some good giggles after you leave.

Wow, that's depressing. Poor guy. :/

Agreed, I'm just glad he wasn't dangerous. He seemed dangerous.

I imagine there are lots of interesting people in that line of work. >.>

So far, I've done nothing work related. I've got 5 old computers that I'm piecing together to see how many working ones I can get out of it.

For sure. Lots of customers have ripped money out of my hands to re-count it, they've yelled at me, they've thrown things, and lots of drunks. One man was paying, and he started saying "red...green...yellow...lots of balloons, lots of colours of balloons... green... blue..." and stuff like that. Apparently there's lots of colours of balloons. Then he informed all of us that there's even more colours of nail polish than there are colours of balloons.

You do that for shits and giggles, then? That's kind of neat. :3

Ah, retail. I saw a woman verbally assault a young couple with nonsense (rather like squirrel chittering) and then yell that the young woman was a lying huss and to stay away from her. When I confronted the older woman, she started screaming, "SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE DID!" and eventually left the store.

The young couple had never seen the woman in their lives.

Holy balls, sounds like a bad case of drugs to me.

Yep, and apparently I did him very, very wrong at some point or another.

Edit: Or something.

I sat in a chair and watched anime all day. It was a lame and unproductive day. :D

Oh my gosh. That's a lot of anime.

All one series?

At the moment, I work at a pharmacy. Today an older gentleman came up to my till, and leaned over it towards me. He looked straight at me, into my soul, and said "...I'm sorry mom." He was sobbing a little, took a few more steps, looked back at me, and started repeating it to me. Then he walked out crying.

So, I guess that's a thing that happened. How was your day, everyone?

FTFY I like to think Christian Bale just walks around in black leather growling, "I'm Batman" to any girl he sees.

Also, be Muffy and carry around a bottle you filled with Kool-Aid. Offer people cherry pink and giggle a lot.

I'm sure he does, I'm sure he does.

I will, and I'll be sure to stand on bridges, talk about my bastard exes a lot and give tomatoes to boys.

True, I suppose.

I do, it's a shame. Maybe it's because I hate having my picture taken.

We're amazed at the fact that a Nintendo system said Sega and not that it turned on by itself, right? Just making sure we're all on the same page, cuz I feel like Sympa and I are talking about something diffrent from Sandy.

Let's all try to recall detailed descriptions of our surroundings at the age of 4. Give me a break.

Sometimes it's tough not to. Maybe we're all naturally just a little bit duckface.

I look frightened in most pictures.

Depending on your hair length, you could be Yaten. ...And have no one recognize you.

True, my hair is to my waist. I could just be blonde Yaten. With shorter hair. So...

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE.

I don't know, but it's a sad day when a video game makes me cry like a bitch.

Welcome, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. It's no good.

I hope you feel at home here, I think we have pretty decent discussions and it's always a pleasure to have new people joining them.

#61356 Nerdy/Awesome Ringtones

Posted by Sandy on 05 January 2014 - 08:08 PM in Everything Else

I change mine a lot. Right now it's just secret tune from LoZ OOT, as in when you blow up a boulder and uncover a hole in the ground. And while I'm working, it's just a regular notification beep.

My ringtone is usually either the Cheers theme song being sung by the Ice King, the Lost Woods tune, the bar theme from A New Hope or regular ringing for when I'm working, again.

Last year, I ended up being the UMK III version of Reptile.

This year I was Poison Ivy, except I couldn't wear my costume around school or family. I met Batman, he was kind of a douche at times, but he did an absolutely perfect Christian Bale impression.

This upcoming year, I'm thinking about being either Sailor Venus or Sailor Moon. I would absolutely love to make Sailor Uranus, but I won't cut my hair for anyone. I've also considered the heroine from HM: AWL, or Muffy from the same series. I've always loved Muffy, she's so sweet.
