#19330 In the market for a new video card

Posted by MAXEVDA on 02 September 2012 - 05:56 AM in Hardware

Is it one of the older 1156 i7's or a sandy/ivy bridge one? From there I can help you get the parts lined out.

It's an i7 920. About as old as you can get I think.

Be great if you had some suggestions as I haven't even looked at the market for the last few years since I bought it.

#19107 In the market for a new video card

Hi,

Currently running and i7 with 5850. Everything still silky smooth but would appreciate suggestions on which direction to take on a whole new rig (under $1200) in the next few months. Bit of a broad question I know but I'm new to blogs/forums etc.

Also, and I know it's a bit shameless, but as I'm recently taking steps into blogosphere/forums id appreciate website feedback.

Planning to do some more hard hitting stuff soon but have a few grumpy rants in the field and beyond at www.maxevda.com.

Cheers on either point,

MAXEVDA

Welcome from someone even newer!

Recently taking steps into blogosphere/forums myself having been a diehard at live skeptical events for a few years now.

Planning to do some more hard hitting stuff soon but have a few slightly grumpy rants on British culture in the field and beyond at www.maxevda.com

Feedback appreciated if you get a moment.

Cheers,

Proud nerd making my first steps into the blogosphere/forums.

Didn't realise just how much was out there that chimes.

Planning to write some more hard hitting stuff soon but for a bit of a grumpy, skeptical geeky take on some British culture check out the other half of my foray:

Feedback, comments and suggestions MORE than welcome.

Cheers,
