you kinda can, but i don't think it's the same as you're talking about. you can trade in commodities (rare good, crafting mats, tcg items). people regularly transfer between servers to buy and sell these items. of course, this involves real money, so not that many people do, but those that can find it lucrative.

people that play the ah. some people treat it as the entire game. but it made my 170k feel inadequate. and sad, lots of sad.

only way i'm gonna get it or invincible is gear my dk's blood spec higher then maybe i can solo for them. i'm not sure if yogg can be solo'd, but people are soloing h25 LK.
