In Topic: Who writes?

I write both fanfiction and normal stories, even though I'm reeeally lazy.. I have many short, unfinished stories, but I never seem to get anything done. I prefer drawing to writing, and I draw fantasy comics every now and then.

I'm currently reading The Iron King by Julie Kagawa. I had quite a few prejudices, because the book (series) was published by Harlequin, which is a romantic/smut trash book publisher, but apparently they have a side unit which is focused on vampire/werewolf/other low fantasy series. So far the book has gone waaay over my expectations, which is awesome, because now I know what to read next.
I'm also reading Alastalon Salissa, which is written by Volter Kilpi. Basically, it's a book which has been nominated as the best finnish book in our country. The whole book is 400 pages of compactly printed half-of-a-page long phrases, which cause the story to be well-portrayed and lyrical, but painfully tiresome and a pain in the you-know-what to read. I honestly would've never even read this damned brick, if I hadn't made a bet with my finnish literature teacher, and well.. Damn.
And I just recently finished reading Fahrenheit 451. It was a good book, depressing from time to time, with a lot of deeper meanings behind the story, and I recommend it for everyone.
In Topic: Star Trek or Star Wars?

Star Trek, because it has more of science and physics stuff applied to it.. And because the amount of movies, episodes etc and so on has gone beyond googolplex, which is good because there's always something new.
I do like the Star Wars books, but the movies never appealed to me. As much as I love retro sci-fi books, my love doesn't extend to old science fiction films. They're just.. No. With Star Trek I can watch the oldest episodes, with a few grumbles now and then, because I like Star Trek so much I'm willing to endure a little pain in exchange of awesomeness I guess I just don't like Star Wars enough to do the same.
And the animated Clone Wars things are just stupid.
