Yes, yes it does. The cartoons we watched as wee ones are riddled with stuff like that to keep our parents interested too. Perfect marketing, especially considering we now as adults re-watch them and enjoy it twice. Once for nostalgia, once for the dirty jokes we missed first time around.

I have a deep-rooted fear that while taking a walk, listening to music, my phone will land on a Kanye song. A hip-hop enthusiast will emerge from the shadows and ask what I'm listening to. When I tell him, he'll kill me.

Every time a make a thread, I feel as though there is a 24 hour window to respond to posts on it before it gets abandoned. Am I paranoid or is this an unspoken rule?

A general probability map is that the more time that passes after your post, the less likely it is someone else will post in it. However, the probability never reaches zero. Essentially a 1/x graph.

Sometimes I check out a new thread, realise I have nothing important or productive to say about it, then wait for someone else to post so I have some basis for conversation and contribution. Unfortunately I imagine we all do that at the same time from time to time.
