But to reply to NoDanico, I can show one example of a board game I made. It´s called Symmetry - The Board Game. The idea is to create squares with symmetric patterns of black and white stones on a board. If you ´complete´ a symmetric square then all stones of that square change to your color. Me and 2 guys made a webdemo of the game on barefoot-codes.com/#symmetry it might be a bit counterintuitive to play at first, but my experience is that at some point you learn how to spot the potential symmetries on the board...
