#96779 Diablo 3

Posted by Krankykoala on 31 October 2015 - 12:46 PM

Just tried t10

It's hard. >.>

I bet. rank 40 grift is apparently the equivalent of t9, and I can do that without TOO much trouble. Like I will die a few times, but I can do it way ahead of the timer. But if i bump it to 42 I can't quite keep up(this was before using the cube so I dunno now)

T10 sounds scary

Oh man, I'm going to abuse the shit out of that cube today. >.>

Who wants to do cow and vaults with me?

If you are on now I will join. I was supposed to go to work, but I am flooded in.

Kenny, you are awesome.

I take back everything bad I've said about you.

For real tho, thank you so much.

That hardly seems fair. Taking back all the good things for just one good thing? :P

Can someone eli5 the cube dealy please?

It's one of my fourth chapters objectives.

There are a few things you can do with it.

To accomplish any of them just put the items listed into the box and hit transmute

Thing number 1:(MOST IMPORTANT) you can destroy items with special abilites to gain access to those abilities as a permanent bonus

Any item you destroy that had a special ability you can now equip that ability as an added bonus. You can only equip 3 abilities, one from a destroyed jewelry item, one from a destroyed weapon, and one from a destroyed armor piece(which is basically anything that isn't a weapon or jewelry). For instance if I make the cube eat a ring of royal grandeur I can then equip the special ability Reduces the number of items needed for set bonuses by 1 (to a minimum of 2) even though I do not have the ring equipped I still gain the bonus.

You can accomplish this by putting the item you want eaten + one of each of the new materials(the butterfly, angel skin etc. there are 5 different ones) you get from horadric cache's + 5 death's breath's

ONCE YOU HAVE EATEN AN ITEM YOU CAN ALWAYS GO TO THE CUBE AND SELECT THAT ITEM'S ABILITY!

Thing number 2: (VERY helpful, potentially anyhow) You can reroll a legendary item's stats entirely. It remains the same item, but rerolls the stats as if it were just dropped. It can even become ancient if it was not, or lose ancient if it already was.

This one costs the legendary item + 5 of each of the new crafting items that drop from horadric cache's + 50 forgotten souls.

Thing number 3: (meh) You can turn a lvl 70 rare(yellow) item into a random legendary of the same type. If it was an amulet you get a random legendary amulet. If it was a crossbow you get a random legendary crossbow etc.

This one costs the rare item + 25 death's breath's + 50 reusable parts + 50 arcane dust + 50 veiled crystals.

Thing Number 4: (potentially very helpful for completing sets) You can turn a set item into another random piece of that same set. This only works for sets that have 3 or more pieces to them, and the item cannot roll to be ancient this way.

This one costs the set item + 10 death's breath's + 10 forgotten souls.

Thing Number 5:(potentially fucking hilarious, but kinda costly) You can remove the level requirement from an item.

This one costs the item you wish to remove the requirement from + a rank 25 gem of ease.

Thing Number 6:(interesting and kinda helpful if you have a stupid amount of one type of gem) You can turn 9 of one type of gem into another type of gem of your choice.

This one costs the 9 gems you wish to change + 1 gem essence of the type you want them to become(buy this from squirt) + 5 death's breath's

Thing Number 7:(meh) Convert 100 of one of either the white, blue, or yellow crafting materials(NOT DEATH's BREATH'S THOUGH, ONLY THE REGULAR ONES)

This one costs 100 of whichever you want to change + 1 of whatever you want it to turn into + 1 Death's Breath

There are also 2 special things you can do.

SPECIAL THING NUMBER 1: Make a portal to the cow level.

This one costs 1 Bovine Bardiche (it's a legendary polearm)

SPECIAL THING NUMBER 2: Make a portal to The Vault

This one costs 1 Puzzle Ring (the one that gives you a goblin to follow you around and eat your white items)

O.o i just discovered transmutation. holy hell this opens up so many new overpowered combinations.

So far I have decided on hexing pants which increase damage when im moving by 25%(my DH never STOPS moving), lightning immunity necklace, and calamity, which makes anything I hit marked for death which increases the damage on them. My damage and survivability just shot up a ton.

Also, they kill one of ours we kill ten of theirs is the general rule isn't it?

These guys came into your home and killed your people. You don't let them live. You capture a handful for interrogation and you end the rest of them.

#96444 Democratic Debate

Posted by Krankykoala on 19 October 2015 - 01:37 AM

My biggest problem with corruption lies with political lobbying. It skirts the line of bribery.

Skirts nothing. Political lobbying is legalized corruption.

I know most of you are American and this thread is about a specific debate, but I have some Canadian bacon to throw on this barbeque.

I am super pissed about a handful of Canadian newspapers plastering anti-liberal, pro-conservative horse shit on their front pages.

Some of you may have heard about this, most probably haven't.

Here is a link with some detail about it: http://www.huffingto..._n_8326634.html

It isn't just the Toronto Sun doing this, there are a bunch of papers with that as their headline page.

I can't stand how fucking stupid this is.

I am not for or against either political party, and actually am not registered to vote, which shows how politically involved I am.

(Which I will be remedying soon because I am starting to feel the need to give a shit about who makes decisions in my country)

I am supremely disappointed in every press outlet who is taking a huge shit on the pure and simple idea that the press should be unbiased in it's publications.

I don't give a flying fuck what the funders/powers that be of the papers think, their news should be a statement of facts and nothing more.

If the conservative party was so much better than the liberals than the pure and simple truth about either side should be enough.

Yet these ads are the pinnacle of transparent political naysaying and have no place being stamped all over the title pages of major news papers and strewn about the country.

I am just incredibly annoyed by this bullshit, and drunk, but mostly annoyed.

Unfortunately news networks tend to be exceedingly biased. Pick a news station and I can probably tell you which side they are on within 5 minutes of watching them/reading their paper. I agree that news should be unbiased, unfortunately that is a difficult thing to accomplish. In my experience foreign networks cover our news better than we do simply because they are largely unbiased by our countries political leanings.

Also Affray you really should get out to vote. If for no other reason than to know you helped get Harper out. That man has done a disservice to your country.

Tes- I agree, Bernie did great last night. He is managing to get a lot of people excited. He may be our best last hope to prevent the system from becoming a true oligarchy, which makes it all the more interesting that someone(you know the hairpiece I mean) is running, and doing quite well by playing it up to the crazies.

Galactus- That is a rather cynical view. Bernie is well aware that he cannot change anything by himself, as he has said many times. That is why he is trying to be the start of a movement. It is why he is trying to get people excited about politics and focused on fixing the issues.

Cat-  The presidency actually has quite a lot of power, and while it is possible for the senate to limit this power it does take a large proportion of them to do so. For instance it takes a 2/3rds vote to overturn a presidential veto. And if you know anything about congress it is difficult to get them to agree on anything. The president can send troops anywhere in the world as commander in chief, but congress must declare war, which in effect just allows those troops to be resupplied and payed and such.

In particular executive order's are one of the most powerful things the president can do. In essence executive orders are laws the president can create at will. Executive orders carry the weight of law while not being formally recognized as law. Again, the senate can overturn these. But if the president can get a decent proportion of senators to play ball then it becomes very difficult for the senate to bully him.

Ah, you really should watch them all if you get the chance. If for no other reason than the songs. Garnet's song and the way of the sword song are my 2 favorites so far.

My little sister has been trying to convince me for a couple months that I should try watching this show. I was skeptical at first, because to me it looked akin to chowder. After finally watching the first few episodes(and then subsequently binging all that is available of it) I have found it to be an odd mix of goofy, and deep.

The episodes are short, only 12 minutes or so long, but they manage to put a lot in these short sessions. And the songs! short and catchy, and in a couple cases extremely emotionally charged. Anyhow, I am not generally one to write reviews, and am often highly critical when I do. I would highly recommend that anyone who has a little time give this show a chance.

Not cute enough to be dumb, imo.

I agree. Being a redhead buys her some leeway, but not that much leeway.
