hey everyone,

 

i just purchased a computer from a neighbor and it has Linux as its operating system.....is there any way that i can run a program to make games think i am running windows or any other method of keeping this a linux pc and still playing mainstream games? Also, from experience what can you say of linuxs perks as opposed to other OSs?

today i picked up the pc and suprisingly console MMO called Defiance. its something of a third person shooter with rpg elements and a hug map to explore with 1000s of people.....and this game is damn fun. also this game happens to give the addictive feeling only an mmo can give. ex. my game installed at 2pm.....its 11pm here now and im JUST taking the time to reach over and type about this game. had a rocky start with server faux paus but you know how that goes. all im saying is people need to get this game. i think thisll be my primary game for as long as its supported as there arent any other MMOs on xbox

 

ive just realized ive said little about the actual game.....well the fact that ill put off taking the time to talk about it is evidence enough of its fun factor.

back in the day before the pseudo nerds where getting kudos/
the digital tetsuo kicked the nerd raps in philosophy room 120 like judo/
the street cool kids didnt listen but gamers geek and hackers saw my vision/
being l337 was my ambition never missing the LAN party convention/
the kids used the laugh...yes but only until a math test/
then theyd request the Digital to help them cheat and id tell them do their best/
cause i confess i was tired from that last quest/
guzzlin double expresso and surge to purge the fatigue for my need for one las quest/
next period was free used to be hanging with debators and would learn all about emulators/
while the skaters would be posing smoking weed by the elevator/
next came computer technology where everyone but me saw their grades eroding/
id the programming project was below my logic-id finish in minutes then spend the rest of the day coding/
an indie rpg about arcane mysteries/
id be organizing scripts and data like i had ocd/
man those days were so special to me/
