All I see is the Dragonborn in the bottom right there yelling:

"Get of my lawn you damn dragon!"

#37920 Nerd forum desktop app and possibly web API

Sounds pretty nifty.
It would be useful for tracking the threads that I want to follow more closely, and if anyone tries to send me a message.
I can't think of any features that would be beneficial on top of what you have listed though.

Psh, nerds suck, I can't stand em.

Hah.

If he hasn't heard of Newton and hes 16 then he needs to pay attention in school.
I was learning about Newton way back in early public school.
Plus there is that whole Newton's apple deal that is taught to kids by damn near everyone who has to explain gravity to small children.

#37857 Your perfect game

Posted by Affray on 16 January 2013 - 10:32 PM

Ok I'm thinking of something like an RPG set in prehistoric times. Fighting off Dinosaurs and what not, scavenging for food, hunting for food, digging and building for shelter. With set size of something like the witcher 2, but with the ability to choose where to go, not just follow a direct path. Volcanoes and pterodactyls (actually now that I think of it, have the ability to tame certain herbivores to ride them (certain carnivores as well but only small ones)). I personally think it would make a sick game. (I know i didn't put a lot of effort into this description but it isn't hard to use imagination for the rest of it, should someone decide to create this game).

Sounds pretty sweet to me.
I was playing Farcry 3 yesterday and thought to myself:

"Damn, this is fun. But wouldn't it be fantastic if this was the island from Jurasic Park and a T-Rex slammed out of those trees and started eating the pirates guarding this stronghold that I am trying to takeover? Yes, yes that would be very fantastic."

My favourite mythical creatures are those super happy women in those tampon commercials.

#36986 Mac Vs. Windows Vs. Linux (Vs. Solaris Vs. Chrome OS)

Posted by Affray on 12 January 2013 - 09:47 AM

I have always used Windows, mostly because that is what was always there.
I am not opposed to anything Linux, the concept behind it intrigues me.
Mac anything bothers me.
They try to hard to be original to be anywhere near useful for me.
Also they make everything so idiot proof that it no longer makes sense.
Why did we spend the last fifty years learning how to use computers just for Mac to show up and remove the need to understand the machine you are operating.

#36329 ...huh

Somehow, that's oddly comforting.

It isn't that odd that you find that comforting.
The worst thing a human can have set upon them is the knowledge of how their life is going to play out.
If there are no surprises, twists or turns then the whole trip will be quite a dull experience.

Hah!
A million times hah!

You should never be afraid to speak your opinion freely among friends.
Especially here.

An assembly or meeting place for the discussion of questions of public interest.
A gathering of free thinking to share their free thoughts freely.
Without opinion, civilization would never have been.

An orgy of succubi. Yeah, picture THAT.

I did.
It was, interesting.

I read a thing this morning that a group of people who swear by apple products are called a smug of mac users.
Excellent.
