I can't remember if I named him Jeremy or Frank. Pretty sure it was Jeremy. Usually as soon as I see the little guy my entire brain just goes "!!!<3LIZARD<3!!!"

I should actually call him 'Harry' so I can say "YER A LIZARD HARRY".

Well the thing that makes me smile when I'm down is the little lizard living on the outside of my bedroom window. It's not a pet or anything. It's just some tiny lizard that likes to occasionally crawl across my window and sit in the sun. <3

How would you tell if bacteria was super intelligent? 

It starts reciting entire Shakespeare monologues at you and lecturing you on quantum physics.

This conversation actually reminds me of an episode of Red Dwarf where one of the characters gets infected by a virus that talks to him as it's trying to kill him. From what I remember it was constantly going on about pop trivia. Makes the common cold look boring as hell.

If you don't mind something a little silly, I'd suggest 'Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch'. It's an old favourite of mine.

Are these thoughts you had all throughout your childhood or does this include stupid thoughts you were briefly convinced of? Because I remember I swallowed an apple seed when I was little and I became absolutely convinced that a tree was going to grow inside my stomach. I also had the terrifying thought that if we didn't filter the water then I would swallow mosquito eggs and be suddenly filled with mosquitoes.

Ah, childhood...

Hey everyone! I saw on the welcome thread that I should probably just start up a new thread to introduce myself, so here it goes.

I'm a 20 year old Australian woman who is trying VERY hard to complete a book right now. Due to this my social interaction is kind of limited and all of my friends have gotten sick of me talking their ears off about Batman since they have absolutely no interest in the subject. I literally had a person fall asleep while I was in mid-sentence once - snoring and everything.

Oh man! That doesn't say much for my conversation skills!

I promise I'm not that boring! I just needed to find people who like nerdy things like sci-fi, video games, fantasy, and comic stuff. So I ended up here! It looks like it will be fun to surf around on this site. I just hope I don't go overboard on posting or anything.
