Will we defy the test of time, the binding of our atmosphere, and the shackles of limited resource, or will we ascend into Reality's heaven and traverse the stars?

Will we succumb to disease, or will we eradicate age?

[Need some inspiration, or some good reading material? Try Asimov's "The Last Question." Very short, for those who hate using their eyes. http://www.multivax....t_question.html ]

Man won't ever die out unless we contract some disease that makes women impotent, like in Children of Men. We're too hardy, though we'll regress back to the stone age. I think it'll take evolution to end man.

Unless we move to Mars, I'm pretty sure the Sun will get too hot for us to live in here.

Well I think it will be either A) Sun burns out or B) we use up the world's resources.

Evolution will probably destroy man before the sun does. In 1 million years, we probably won't be homo sapiens.

I don't think man will die, at least until the universe comes to an end and then we'll die only if we haven't found means of going to another universe or something.

Also Asimov =D

I don't think we will every leave the Solar System, so I think destruction is inevitable. Our planet is dying at quite the rate now, global warming, lack of food and water for population growth. Things are not looking so great.

Thing is man is to much like a virus, you can whittle us down to fifty million but we'll evolve and we'll learn and we'll adapt. I think we might reach a pinnacle that we can't ever evolve beyond however, because we'll advance technology so far before we use it to instigate a catastrophic event that destroys us to the point we have to start all over again.

Hilariously enough, Humanity proved your point in its beginning centuries by being wiped down by an unknown phenomenon to 10,000 people (estimated).

All of Man could fit into one baseball stadium.

Now, we are boasting a population over five orders of magnitude above that.

I predict its end to be something completely unexpected, nothing I could really put a date or cause on. Aren't we' pretty a spec in a middle of a vast gigantic Universe with stuff larger than the sun flying around at light-speed? Earth is pretty much a glass of water in the middle of an air hockey table, with infinity pucks.
You could be driving to work when a random Universal event takes earth with it. I always forget how small we actually are, there are infinity things we don't know (Especially in my case  ).
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat forever. The problem is we made fishing illegal.

That's actually true! There's so many things that could be out undoing, a celestial clock might be ticking down and we don't even know! Makes you think.

Exactly! but I try not to dwell on it too much. "Don't Worry, Be Happy". B)
