It is not common for me to read books as an adult. As a result, I feel like my brain is turning into mush. Can anyone think of a nice simple horror novel to read? I prefer cheesy books that take place during the Middle Ages, but any others are also welcome

Christopher Pike's The Last Vampire series is good popcorn reading. I've been trying to get myself to read The Haunting of Hill House but lol on my attention span.

I did listen to Frankenstein as an audiobook. Do recommend.

I presume you and I are the same age Konta, but the older I get, the more I like to read autobiographies of my favourite musicians. It's neat to read how tragic they really are/were.
