So I downloaded a program that lets me get information about my PC easier than going through the control panel and such, and one of the additional features is that it checks the temperature/s. My CPU, motherboard and graphics card are all running between 58-65 degrees celsius. I'm pretty sure that's hotter than they should be, but I don't know. The hard drive is displaying a pretty constant 35.

Should everything be around the same temperature, or should I be looking into getting my laptop repaired somehow?

It varies from computer to computer, for for an i5 in a laptop, that's not bad. In some of the ultrabooks you can get temps close to 100*c

For desktops, most people shoot for around 60*c under load for their processor and 70*c or so for their graphics card.

That makes me feel better. When I saw my HD temp I was worried my computer was set to blow up xD

Yeah, it's amazing how warm they get.

warm >.> i had a fan go out on one of my old pc's and it partially melted a cd that was in the drive

When I had my Toshiba Satellite I wasn't sure what the normal temperature was myself. I asked several support technicians and received different responses. For the most part they told me that a good temperature would be 35-40C (CPU) and 50C for my motherboard.

Download coretemp. It should not be over 90, then the prosessor can melt.... I will say around 50-60 is normal for a laptop. If you got a pc with water cooler(dont know the english word for it), its normal to have a temp between 30-40. Its depends on the computer and what you are doing I had a laptop that got so freakin warm when I played lol. But I just got myself a coolmaster, problem solved
