Anyone else watch it? Even if you're not a car person, it's funny as hell.

US version is funny. UK version relies too much on Clarkson's ability to over-emphasize words while speaking in order to create an intentionally unintentionally funny monologue.

I feel the opposite, though I haven't watched much of the US version. Maybe it's a matter of seeing something different then you're used to.

I enjoy the UK version, but not the US.
Opposite for Being Human, the UK version bored me to tears.

I have a dislike for Clarkson to begin with, maybe that's why I don't like the UK version. Plus the US version has all the cool stunts and shit (like the episode where they ran obstacle courses in bootlegger cars)

We do have a tendency to make things more awesome with explosions and stunts.

That's not possible here without incurring a serious backlog of paperwork.

That happens here too, but normally the paperwork gets lost in accidental fires.
