Anyone else ever played with Legos when they were a kid (or as an adult)? I recently put together a Star Wars set with the help of a freind. I didn't get to play with the Star Wars Legos when I was little because my parents couldn't afford them. At the time, Star Wars merchandise was more expensive because the prequels were still being released.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find people who didn't play with LEGO when they were kids.

I never got into the kits much, it was always about building what I felt like.

Handgun, castle, pyramid big enough for me to play inside of, whatever.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

I second what Affray said. I think I had a fire station kit, but I mostly just built random stuff with them. I never had any Star Wars related ones. I loved the original series, but the prequels were garbage compared to them. The story and lightsaber duels were ok, but I didn't like any of the new characters. When I was a kid, I was more into Hot Wheels and G.I. Joe action figures than Legos. They were very painful to step on, so I tried to keep as few as possible because my parents and I didn't have much storage space.

I had Duplo when I was a kid; I had a friend who had LEGO. I'm not great at building stuff.

I haven't heard the name Duplo in years. That took me back to the days of the 2004 election when I learned all the president's names in chronological order.

I had G.I. Joe's and Hot Wheels too. I had the Hot Wheels set which had a shark that tried to eat the car on a roller coaster. It was a weird concept, but it was very fun.

I also don't remember Aayla being in any Star Wars movies, but she was interesting to play as in the Battlefront games because she had a blue lightsaber in one hand and a green lightsaber in the other.

What.

Ah. I see my mistake. I meant to say "played with."

Not "heard the name."

I remember the last time I played with Duplo was while I was watching this video on Nickelodeon that had a song with the U.S. presidents in chronological order.

Damn. I guess I didn't pay much attention when I watched the prequels years ago. I should probably re-watch those.

Didn't you die at the end there?

There we go. That was the part I was questioning. All has been explained.

Yep I grew up with lego, I'd build my sets once then throw the pieces into the bins for whatever builds I wanted to make.
