I like the setting of Phantasy Star Online. It's sci-fi, but also has a lot of fantasy stylings to it. Especially if you go further back into the series and look at the originals.

I really enjoyed Phantasy Star Online on a lot of levels.
I feel like I really SHOULDN'T have enjoyed it so much, because the levels are really redundant and the gameplay is kinda sub-par. But for some reason it was really compelling, maybe even fun.
And yeah, the setting was cool!

I don't think he needs to be immortal. I think all he needs to do is to write the right story. Because some stories do live forever.
