I've always been a huge fan of Age of Empires 2. It's been out for almost 20 years now and I still play it because it's just that good. It's not a shooting game, but it's still occasionally violent. I'm not sure if you were avoiding violence or just avoiding guns. It's a strategy game and it's on steam, so you should check it out.

If you have seven or eight free hours on your hands, Civ V is always fun.

i don't specifically want to avoid the violence but i'm bad at games that need really quick reactions. also i got tendonitis so i'm kinda handicapped

oh i heard of that one. i'll try that.

A friend recommended Armello which is pretty fun too.

Depends what you like and how cheap you're willing to go.

You say you don't like fast paced games due to hand/wrist problems?

'Dear Esther' might suit you. It's not long, and it's like a walking sim.

'Undertale' is about $10

'Borderlands 2' is $7. Wait..... this might kill your wrist..... But I dug the game....

I was going to purchase 'Hentai Arena' which is $1 right now on steam. Looks rather..... interesting....

All available on Mac too.

TL:DR

Just download Roblox :S

If you want strategy, try XCOM: Enemy Unknown and after that XCOM: 2, though it also depends on whether you like turn based combat

I prefer CIV VI.  Great for strategy especially with the updates and expansions.

Oh, and there's always Archive.org for classic shareware or GOG.com for Good Old Games. Sierra Adventures ahoy!

Just found out Starcraft 2 works on Macs again. So I'm going to give it a whirl.

Bought Heart of The Swarm for $4.
