Yeah they're not fun to learn. Probably the part I hated most about my college course was the coding aspect of it. Art, music and writing I was fine with, but coding it was horrible.

Well, with C I'm gonna skim, I really just want to see how low level languages interact with hardware
C++ is a "for dummies" book, so its been abridged, then I have the All in One C++ Desk Reference I was gonna play with, then C++ in Game Development was gonna be the last one.
But yeah, completely learning all of those would take years

just choose one of them, it will be useful, no need both.
