Anyone get the chance to see it yet? Personally, I really, really liked it. It was a really fun ride, albeit with some stupid parts. It feels kinda like a throwback to when we'd get Superhero movies that weren't objectively very good, like Catwoman or Spawn but were still kinda fun to watch. Probably helps that I got to see it for free.

Overall I enjoyed it, but the villains, and that drone chase were so fucking cringe worthy.

Tumblr is trying to sell it as a gay demonic love story. Is that true? 'Cause if it is, I'm fucking SOLD.

I mean, I guess you could stretch it that far if you really wanted to.

I watched it last night.
It's just about everything I don't like in a movie unfortunately.
Very cheesy, PG-13 for a Venom movie is insane, the music used throughout felt very plugged in like it was coincidentally being used in a super hero movie, except for the rap song written specifically for the movie which sounded good but made the movie feel super dated like it's 2001 again. Overall it just felt like it was made for the sake of being made, not with the intention to make something worth watching.
It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

I like stupid and cheesy--especially dated stupid and cheesy; I might actually like this movie.

You do you, it just didn't hit me.
I love me some queso as well but Venom just felt forced for the most part.
But hey, to each their own.

See, "forced" is considerably less cool. Let the demon baby be natural. Get some goddamn comic book writers on the script team.

It's about the furthest things from comic book writing as you can get.
It feels like they tried to make it so goddamn cool but everyone involved was sheltered as a child and doesn't know what cool is.
