How would you feel if gaming companies made characters in an attempt to appeal to people who never have played video games?

For example Bioware could gave us a girly female knight with a feminine hairstyle and personality but yet is physically strong and fearless in battle? She also likes stuffed animals and cosmetics but yet is skilled with a sword.

This character would be aimed at the sorority and cheerleader type females at American schools and colleges.

Do you think such a character would be stupid and unrealistic?

Would you be offended?

I do think it would be stupid and unrealistic.

Videogames are not a hobby that attracts sorority/cheerleader types.(mobile games like candy crush not included as I see video game haters argue they're different all the time)

In fact, they're probably the one group with the most disdain for gamers and video games next to the ultra puritan religious fools who think Video games are the devils work.

It would be about as big a flop as that all girls SJW fest ghost busters remake, you can't cater to a group using a medium that group does not like or by insulting them throughout the entire product.

That would be like trying to win over a christian girlfriend by reading from the necronomicon in a church.

Bioware can't make pretty characters to save their lives, so no.

Nothing would change. There are already plenty of video games with females in the leading role.

1 Beyond Good and evil (2003)
2 Primal (2007)
3 Portal 2 (2011)
4 Lollipop Chainsaw (2012)
5 Life is Strange (2015)

Just to name a few.
