So Bright is a netflix movie that's basically fantasy races in modern day L.A. It follows Will Smith and an Orc cop that's his partner while spoilery shit happens to them.

The intro has some really fucking interesting graffiti though.

Liked the action, loved the concept and the background things like the dragon flying around and the graffiti. The story was very meh. Gigantic plotholes everywhere though!

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Oh, also Will Smith has finally started aging. Something about his face in this movie looks rather... gaunt?

I hope so too. Apparently the sequel has already been greenlit.

I kinda look at it like Pacific Rim. It's enjoyable for the concept and visuals, the story comes second. The sequel is supposed to have a different writer attached to it though, so maybe it will have a better story line. There were some huge plot holes that I want filled, and just some goofy stuff in general.

And yeah, I noticed he's starting to look a little older too. I think part of it is on purpose though. The mustache and haircut goes a long way to making him look like a veteran cop that's just waiting on retirement.
