I didn't know you could listen to specific music and whatnot to trigger this, and I didn't really know what it was.
If it's the same thing, I've been doing this to myself since I was a little kid.
Sometimes when I feel myself getting worked up over something I stop what I'm doing and concentrate on the base of my skull and kind of put pressure in that area by thinking about it.
After about ten seconds or so I can release that pressure and I get pretty much what Google says ASMR feels like.
A super satisfying rush of tingled down my neck and up in to my head that just makes me feel good and calm.
I can also trigger up to a dozen more after my first shot just by turning my head a bit and doing a thing that I can only describe as flexing a muscle at the base of my skull, but I don't know if that's what I'm doing.
It's actually kind of awesome that I have a name for what I've been doing forever and never looked in to.
I does make my super sleepy if I go to far with it though, so I always assumed I was somehow triggering my pituitary gland and all those feel good hormones tired me out and made me want to nap.
