Associate justice of the supreme court Antonin Scalia died this morning. I know it is a horrible thing to say, but its about damn time. I am doubtful that Obama will manage to get a new justice appointed and approved by the senate before he leaves office. This makes the next president all the more important, and even moreso the senate seats that are opening. This could give the U.S. a whole new age of progress if we can get enough good people in congress to approve someone who is very liberal.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

I want to vote for Ted Cruz only for the purpose of taking down Trump, then I'll vote Sanders.

Look, a loony you know is a loony, is better than one who keeps it hidden. Trump is so voiciferously imbecilic that you'd presume a lot of his grand ideas i.e. the Great Wall of Mexico would be shot down in an instant by congress and the HoR. Cruz is a product of the incestuous relationship between big business and politics. He's most certainly not the lesser of two evils, if you look into his voting record, his policies and what he wants for America, he's really no better than Trump at all. Honestly if you want the Democrats to face off with any Republican you'd hope it was someone like Kaisch, Bush or Rubio. At least they're marginally more moderate (though Kaisch is barely less disgusting).
FORTUNATELY, the elgibility of Cruz as a legal candidate is so dubious the court is looking into whether or not he can legally run at all. The only redeeming qualities about him are that he occasionally points out that as a supposed libertarian (seriously...is he a thirteen year old who's just heard about Ayn Rand?) he should leave issues to individual states such as same-sex marriage and cannabis legality. Notably this excludes giving women the write to abortion.
He's a cunt.

I find it HILARIOUS that a brit is talking about the downside of someone in power coming from an incestuous relationship.

My comment was slightly more nuanced than that, however we did take all the power away from the inbreds.I find it HILARIOUS that a brit is talking about the downside of someone in power coming from an incestuous relationship.
Also Spleen that is legitimately terrifying.

Well, it's not that I support Cruz. It's just that he is the one right behind Trump. I think if Cruz won the nomination, then he wouldn't have a chance. Trump seems like he actually would with all the crazy ideas he has for the Republicans.
You gotta remember that voter turnout for primaries is lower than in the presidential election. Trump is being supported buy a fringe group of vocal GOPpers, In an election between him and any viable Democrat, one could only assume that the silent majority would come out in support of the person who is the most serious. Ted Cruz could actually be taken seriously...

Also, if you are a Republican, you can vote for Sanders anyway.

Those are the people I want elected. If Donald Trump or Hillary wins, I'm moving out of the country and into Canada or something.
Now, I'm not saying that the other candidates are much better. Bernie Sanders has good intentions about making college free, but what he's actually going to end up doing is raising our taxes to pay him and the rest of his politician friends.
Hillary Clinton is just god awful.
Donald Trump is god awful.
Everyone is god awful.
There should be a spot on the voter ballets that say: no one.
