Hey kiddywinks.
Anyone here wear any jewellery? I have two pieces myself; a gold plated tiger's eye signet ring and a black vinyl ring.

I wear a bunch depending on where I'm going and how I feel. The only one that's a constant is my engagement ring, though.

Cannot stand having jewelry on. It is fine for a day or so, then it begins to bother me immensely. Skin does not enjoy it.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

I used to hate rings, but after forcing myself to wear them for time, I kinda got used to it I suppose. I do like necklaces and chains too, but I don't have any as of yet.

The only jevellery i wear constantly are ear rings. Sometimes i wear necklaces but they bother me after a while. I can't stand wearing finger rings.

I usually wear watches, but I broke the strap on my watch and lost my extra tension springs for it..

Do leather bracers count as jewelry? I don't wear them often, usually only when they compliment what I'm wearing. I have maybe a dozen lying around.
At work (and work only) I wear a wrist watch as my job is time sensitive and I like to wonder off and fuck around. Need to do stuff at certain times.
That's it.

I'm a tanner. My job is coloring. The chemicals that go into making the leather what it is can vary. Some feeds go 10-25 minutes, most go 30 or an hour (some 120+ minutes) - it's important to get them in when they are suppose to and not let them run longer than they are suppose to. I wear a watch because I don't like to babysit the machines and love to wonder and gossip. What do you do?

That does sound pretty cool to be honest.
Here I just put boxes on shelves all night and pull skids around.

I mean yeah, it's cooler than most jobs. In a traditional sense it's really cool. However, modernization takes away from all the hands on experience and art of tanning. These days it literally ALL is shoving the damned leather down the throat of a machine and pouring crap on it and letting the machine do all the work for you. I like my job, but it doesn't challenge me or give any real sense of pride. Anyone who can read or maybe do percentages on a calculator can easily do it. It's definitely better than the last four factories I worked at. Those were shite.
Tonight I'll be working on leather for Ralph Lauren (if you're familiar with the brand). Probably to be turned into a handbag or jacket. So the next time you go out and buy a $200 handbag from Ralph Lauren, think of me.
