Hmmm, it kind of depends. As a general rule, I'd have to say Aliens, there is just more that you can do with aliens than the undead.

I'd say aliens , of course assuming that they are highly intelligent. :)

I wouldn't mind a dumb alien. As long as it's not Jar Jar Binks then I'm happy.

I hope you're having a nice day. :)

What if it's a dumb killer alien? Like some kind of human-eating bacteria?

Would you prefer a highly intelligent human-eating bacteria?

I hope you're having a nice day. :)

Dude, nightmare fuel x 1000000 for me right there.

Also, I prefer space travel books, but zombie movies.

Zombies are pretty much guaranteed to destroy civilisation as we know it, but are comparably easy to handle/survive.

Aliens showing up has the potential for our destruction, but also the potential for the means being provided to our species to expand in to space and/or improve out total global well being. If the aliens are hostile we are quite probably fucked. So it's a toss up between a definite threat that we can more easily manage, or a potential threat that will certainly destroy us.

So on that grounds I would have to go with aliens.

The odds are in favour of that scenario being beneficial compared to the alternative.

How would you tell if bacteria was super intelligent?

It starts reciting entire Shakespeare monologues at you and lecturing you on quantum physics.

This conversation actually reminds me of an episode of Red Dwarf where one of the characters gets infected by a virus that talks to him as it's trying to kill him. From what I remember it was constantly going on about pop trivia. Makes the common cold look boring as hell.

I hope you're having a nice day. :)

It doesn't have to have any sort of intelligence to fall in to the certain death percentage of alien arrival.

Doesn't need to be. War of the Worlds has taught us that bacteria is better than aliens.

If we're going to be serious I'd say it could be more of a programmable virus with an amazing AI. It searches out the perfect host to carry itself into a more dense population and targets people with a wider social circle first before narrowing down the numbers. Once it gets into the lower percentages or it finds difficulty spreading itself it could then transfer itself to certain animals which would be the most likely to come into contact with human civilisation.

Basically, a deadly virus programmed to analyse and utlise human social behaviour in order to wipe out the entire species.

I hope you're having a nice day. :)

I've never seen Scrubs.

I'm not going to get mad, but I am very disappointed.

Just kidding, but in all seriousness you should add it to your list of things to watch.

The last season is weird due to it basically being an afterthought to try and keep the series going, but everything else is some of the best comedy you will ever see.

Also, it is regarded as the most medically accurate television series to ever grace the planet.

Ehh, it's mostly because I just don't watch TV. If it isn't anime I usually don't have the attention span for it. ;D
